Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to see a Podiatrist?
No. Anyone can visit one of our Podiatrists. We do however happily accept Chronic Disease Management Plans, DVA and NDIS referrals.
Do private health funds cover podiatry?
Yes, podiatry services are covered by most major health funds if you have the relevant extras cover. Check your coverage level to see your rebate. We can process your claims right after your appointment using our HICAPS terminal.
Are podiatry treatments covered by Medicare?
If you are eligible, your GP can refer you to Soleful Steps Podiatry under a Chronic Disease Management Plan. This will allow you to receive a Medicare rebate for up to 5 podiatry visits over 12 months
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring any orthotics or foot inserts, doctors referrals, Chronic Disease Management plan documentation or medical forms and history relating to your visit.
Are walk in appointments available?
No, unfortunately all appointments must be pre-booked, either over the phone on 08 7082 0407, via email admin@solefulstepspodiatry.com.au or book online.
Where are you located and do you have on-site parking?
We are located at 6 Wilson Street Mount Gambier, next door to Lincraft on the corner of Browne's road and Wilson street. There is parking available out the front, as well as a disability parking spot on the right side of the building.
